Meet Dr. Norman W. Ickert
Advanced Implant and Reconstructive Care Focused on Long-term Outcomes
Dr. Norman W. Ickert
D.M.D.
Dr. Norman W. Ickert completed his general dental education at Vancouver’s University of British Columbia in 1982. Dr. Ickert limits his practice to comprehensive, aesthetic, and functional rehabilitative dentistry, including both the surgical and prosthetic aspects of dental implants, as well as many other related hard and soft tissue enhancement procedures. Due to the highly challenging nature of this specific field of practice, Dr. Ickert and his team have committed themselves primarily to this aspect of dentistry. This implies continuous, comprehensive, educational, surgical, and prosthetic training with world leaders in this field, both within North America and Europe. Dr. Ickert has completed his Master’s Program in Oral Medicine and Implantology, graduating in March 2012 from the University of Muenster, Germany. Dr. Ickert is also a Mentor, a Clinical Instructor, and a former Advisory Board Member at Seattle, Washington’s Kois Dental Education Center.
He has his IPS Master's Certificate from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. As a result of the many inherent complexities and challenges that characterize this type of dentistry, Dr. Ickert is aligned with many other specialized practitioners and technicians, both locally and throughout the world, who provide excellent support to the patient care received at the Ickert Dental Implant Centre. This has also provided several teaching opportunities to share his knowledge and experience, both locally and internationally. The genetically pre-determined aesthetic and functional compromises, which accompany loss of tooth structure, along with the subsequent loss of hard and soft tissue, provide a significant challenge in the rehabilitative process. Dr. Ickert passionately believes that the key to long-term success is a detailed risk-based, pre-treatment assessment and diagnosis, followed by a systemized treatment approach, increasing the opportunity for a desirable long-term outcome. The ultimate goal for Dr. Ickert and his team is to identify each patient’s specific concerns and provide personalized, realistic, and long-term treatments in a professional, comfortable, and caring environment.
